Bloom: Open Space by Brian Eno and Peter Chilvers

The new interactive audio-visual installation Bloom: Open Space by Brian Eno and Peter Chilvers opens Wednesday 21 February 2018 at The Transformatorhuis in Amsterdam.
Bloom: Open Space Preview

Bloom: Open Space is based upon the award-winning music-app 'Bloom'. The app "Part instrument, part composition and part artwork", allows you to create elaborate patterns and unique melodies by simply tapping the screen. Bloom is created by musician, producer, visual artist, and thinker Brian Eno, together with musician/software designer, Peter Chilvers. In Bloom: Open Space they bring the music-app to life, as the participant you generate bubbles of musical notes with your fingers. Wearing a Microsoft HoloLens glasses allows you to see the music in the immersive mixed reality space, where the line blurs between the physical and virtual, exploring uncharted territory in the realms of both applications and generative art. The interactive mixed-reality installation is powered by Microsoft Music X Tech program and is produced by New York-based agency Listen.

The installation, Bloom: Open Space, is open to the public from February 21-25, 2018 at the Trafo House in Amsterdam.
