The New York School of Visual Arts MA Design Research studio has created a two-week intensive summer program devoted to research and writing about design. Participants will be introduced to a range of techniques for constructing compelling narratives about images, objects, and spaces.

Design West
June 15-28, 2024, Letterfrack, Ireland
Design West is an international summer design school located at the ATU Connemara campus in the beautiful village of Letterfrack in Co. Galway, on the West Coast of Ireland. For two weeks this summer, from June 15th to June 28th, 2024, participants will get the opportunity to work with leading International and Irish designers from renowned studios, including Thonik (Amsterdam), Gail Anderson (SVA NYC) and Associate (New York).

TypeParis Summer 24

TypeParis is a 6-week typeface design program, which started in 2015. Over the course of the program, industry leaders will teach and mentor students in both traditional and modern craft techniques of typeface design. Located in the center of Paris, students will be able to enjoy the culture of the city and will also receive access to historic materials at key libraries in the city. Renowned guest critics, will compliment the daily program with unique perspectives around typography and design.

Porto Design Summer School

Participants from around the world, of all ages, both students and professionals, have gathered in Porto every year since 2013 to take part in a two-week course that focuses on editorial design. They bring with them different cultural perspectives, different routines and expectations, as well as differing experience and skills.
