Leipzig Typotage
The Leipzig Typotage is an event organised by the Gesellschaft Zur Förderung der Druckkunst Leipzig. Since 1995, the event has been held annually at the Museum of Print in Leipzig. In addition to type and typography, the conference focuses on graphic design, art, printing production techniques and related topics. The 29th Leipzig Typotage, subtitled "Not my type! Typographic Stereotypes" will explore how gender, social and ethnic stereotypes have been visually translated into typographic forms. Can typography be free of cultural stereotypes? What is typography's role in promoting diversity and inclusivity?

TypeCon
TypeCon is an annual conference presented by the non-profit Society of Typographic Aficionados (SOTA), an international organisation dedicated to the promotion, study and support of typography and related arts. Since its inaugural conference in 1998, TypeCon has explored type for the screen, the history of printing, Dutch design, type in motion, Arabic calligraphy, the American Arts and Crafts movement, experimental typography, web fonts, and much more. Special events in the past have included the Type & Design Education Forum, walking type tours, and exhibitions of international type and design.

ISType
Held every two years in Istanbul, ISType (Istanbul Typography Conference) brings together academics, industry professionals and students - local, regional and international - to discuss current issues and innovations in typography, and to reflect on developments and opportunities for its future growth.
The theme for the 9th ISType conference is “Text-ure.” We have invited nine designers to explore the textural qualities of typography, type design, and their graphic applications. The conference will address designing and using typefaces in various text environments, whether static or dynamic, across both micro and macro graphic applications.

letterspace is an Amsterdam-based platform hosts since 2018 a monthly series of lectures about experimentation, innovation, and type research.

Typographic Circle is a non-profit organization run entirely by volunteers since 1976 to bring together anyone with an interest in typefaces and typography. Letter Luvvers

Typography Summer Schools
TypeParis
TypeParis is an intensive type design program in Paris launched by the Typofonderie team in 2015. Learn how to design type from scratch and covers typeface design and calligraphy techniques, type history, and modern software practices.
During the summer program, TypeParis organizes a weekly lecture series, which are free, open to the public, and broadcast to the world.

Tipo Italia
TipoItalia23 encourages learners to see the alphabet in its myriad forms and trace its evolution to the type collection held by Tipoteca. This program fosters a “typographic archaeology” that can then be translated into digital type allowing the participant to bring Italian typography to their desktop computer.
Tipoteca Italiana offers a program of this format to attract educators, designers, and type lovers to increase awareness of the rich typographic legacy in Veneto as well as the museum’s collection and cultural offerings. Experience with letterpress is helpful but not necessary.
