Deutscher Designtag

Deutscher Designtag e.V. (DT) is the umbrella organisation of the nationwide specialist and professional design associations and institutions in Germany and works at the interface between design, politics and economics. It represents 360,000 designers and 60,000 design companies in Germany with a turnover of around 20 billion euros vis-à-vis the government and the administration of the federal government, the federal states and the European Union in all overarching design policy matters. The German Design Day is a vital example of democracy in action and civic engagement. Its work is based on the voluntary work of the delegates of its member organisations. Anyone wishing to get involved in design policy must be a member of one of Designtag's 16 member organisations or a cluster (as of January 2025): Allianz deutscher Designer (AGD) e.V., BDG Berufsverband Kommunikationsdesign e.V., Design für Alle - Deutschland e.V.
