Pictoplasma Festival & Conference 2015

About Pictoplasma Festival & Conference 2015

Pictoplasma is a network of thousands of artists from all over the globe, a large international community of creatives, designers, illustrators, animators, artists and fans, all connected by a shared love for contemporary, character-driven visual art.

The Project organizes annual festivals and conferences in Europe and the US, curates exhibitions, consults companies with all their character needs and closely accompany the scene as it moves towards a completely new understanding of character.

The world's leading and largest Festival of contemporary character culture is back in Berlin, with a dense program of inspiring artist presentations, conference lectures, animation screenings, workshops, installations, exhibitions, performances and of course, loads of character!

The main exhibition by international artists awaits you in the recently re-discovered dormant crematorium of Wedding, while a group show by last year's Pictoplasma Academy Alumni takes a fresh look at the upcoming faces of tomorrow. In the evenings, the big screen of Babylon am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz illuminates with new, awe-inspiring animation programmes, while lively art happenings and performances at Platoon Kunsthalle ensure that you truly get into character… all free entry – or accessible at a moderate price!

At the heart of it all, the 11th Pictoplasma Conference* at Babylon presents a diverse line-up of artists, covering a wide range of media and disciplines, such as illustration, installation, urban and fine art, offering the unique chance to learn from today's most innovative and influential creatives.
