About MELBA - Sofia Design Festival

The festival mixes different design perspectives into a variety of creative activities.

It is part of MELBA - a series of design initiatives launched by Studio Komplekt at the end of 2017. This is a unique platform with a strong community and а carefully curated content: online bilingual archive of contemporary Bulgarian designers, live meetings and an annual festival. In just two editions 2018 and 2019 the festival managed to highlight the potential of design, ignite collaborations, bring valuable international experience and present local artists in an international context. The third edition of MELBA is planned to happen predominantly online, in English, so audiences outside of Sofia are more than welcome.
